INTRO
Welcome! My name is Michaela, and I am here to support you on your journey towards becoming your best self. Whatever reason has brought you to this page today, I am glad you are here and are exploring how therapy can help.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe everyone deserves a place where they can feel listened to and supported unconditionally - a place where they can consistently show up as their authentic selves. Therapy can provide a safe haven for you in this way.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As your therapist, I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space that is fully dedicated to you. You can expect an approach to therapy that is warm, gentle, and holistic. We will start by spending time getting to know you and your individual needs and goals. From there, we will identify patterns that are keeping you stuck, gain new insights and understandings, and learn new skills to support your overall wellness.
AREAS OF INTEREST
● Anxiety disorders, PTSD/trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, women’s issues, chronic health issues.
● Nervous system regulation, polyvagal theory, somatic techniques, attachment work, exercise/movement, yoga, holistic practices.
APPROACH
I integrate several evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches into sessions based on the needs of my clients. These include Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and additional somatic approaches.
